Internationally acclaimed baritone Daniel Teadt maintains his private voice studio in Pittsburgh, PA. He mentors each student at their own level of experience and challenges singers to better understand their voices with lessons based in strong vocal technique and musicianship.
Daniel has sung major roles in opera houses throughout the United States and Europe including Pittsburgh Opera, Arizona Opera, Aix-en-Provençe Festival in Luxembourg, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Tacoma Opera, Central City Opera, Tri-Cities Opera and Pittsburgh Opera Theater. He has been on the roster of the New York City Opera for several seasons and toured nationally with the San Francisco Opera. His concert appearances include Grammy Award winning performances with the London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, I Pomeriggi Musicale di Milano, Johnstown Symphony and Los Angeles Master Chorale. As a recitalist he has performed throughout the United States and Europe including appearances with the Steans Institute at the Ravinia Festival, Aix-en-Provençe Festival, The New York Festival of Song and San Francisco Opera’s Schwabacher Debut Recitals.
Daniel received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and was an Artist-in-Residence with Pittsburgh Opera and
San Francisco Opera. He is currently a voice instructor at Washington & Jefferson College
and Clarion University.
